We are happy to announce our collaboration and support for the Helsinki metropolitan area based iGEM team, Aalto-Helsinki! The team is multidisciplinary and international and consists of 10 students from both University of Helsinki and Aalto University. The team is participating in the iGEM competition (Internationally genetically engineered machine) which is an international academic competition for promoting synthetic biology. The team’s project this year tackles the issue of plastic pollution and food scarcity.
